Save the Date! Wyoming Tourism & Hospitality Fall Summit

The 2016 Wyoming Hospitality and Tourism Fall Summit will be held at the beautiful Jackson Lake Lodge from September 21-22, 2016! In addition to the annual summit, the 6th annual WLRA Golf Tournament will be held on Friday, September 23, 2016 at the magnificent Jackson Hole Golf and Tennis Club. This year’s conference and tournament represent a tremendous opportunity to engage with industry leaders from across the state while enjoying your stay in Grand Teton National Park during the centennial of the National Park Service. 2015 Tourism Success Featured in the
Wyoming Business Report

In February Wyoming’s tourism industry was highlighted in a four-page insert in the Wyoming Business Report. The feature showcased the success of the 2015 campaign, looked ahead to the National Park Centennial, discussed expansion of international marketing programs and showcased progress on the new Wyoming Office of Tourism website re-design. It is a tremendous piece that was distributed state-wide and can be found HERE.

Yellowstone Named One of Lonely Planet's Top Destinations

Lonely Planet, a national travel media company, has named Yellowstone National Park in northwestern Wyoming the No. 3 travel destination in the United States for 2016. Yellowstone, established in 1872, is the world's first national park and has the distinction of being home to the largest collection of mammals in the contiguous United States, as well as the world's largest collection of geysers.  Read More »

The Wind River Visitors Council partners with Fremont County's Museum again in 2016 to Promote Tourism

The Fremont County Museums (Dubois Museum, Pioneer Museum in Lander and Riverton Museum) created the Adventure Trek Series in 2015. Each museum felt it was an important to allow visitors the chance to explore the history, culture and geology that exists outside the museum's walls and have contributed so much to the development of the region. During the first year of the programs existence the three museums conducted 19 Adventure Treks to 16 different locations. The Museums served nearly 350 visitors on the treks from both inside and outside of Fremont County.  Read More »
