WYOMING RELEASES 2017 TRAVEL ECONOMIC IMPACT NUMBERS: TRAVELER SPENDING AND VISITOR VOLUME SAW INCREASES

 

April 30, 2018—Cheyenne, Wyoming—Wyoming’s travel, tourism and hospitality industry continues to grow, with travel spending by visitors reaching more than $3.5 billion in 2017, an increase of 8.9 percent from 2016, according to the 2017 Wyoming Travel Impacts Report done by Dean Runyon Associates.

May 2018 Legislative Update

2018 will be a very busy year for Wyoming politics.  A $600 million education-funding deficit still looms over the legislature while all 60 members of the Wyoming House of Representatives are up for reelection as well as 15 (half) of the Wyoming Senate.  All 5 elected seats in Wyoming’s Executive Branch are up and 7 Republicans and one Democrat are running for Governor. What will the interim period between now and the January 8, 2019 general session bring?
