Wyoming Office of Tourism Sign Grant Deadline Approaching
This spring the Wyoming Office of Tourism (WOT) is offering a special round of sign grant funding to help fund interpretive, wayfinding and free form signage projects along Wyoming's highways and communities. The purpose of this grant program is to nurture Wyoming’s tourism industry by creating a more visitor friendly and easily accessible destination.
WOT's Industry Services Specialist, Kristin Phipps, explains " Whether it’s simply used as a tool to pull visitors off the interstate, or used to help visitors understand the historical or cultural importance of the area they are in, signage plays an important role in visitors experience in the state." WOT is happy to announce that a total of $86,000 will be available during this round of funding to help support these ongoing efforts.
Eligible organizations include local municipalities, county governments, tribal governments, state and federal agencies, non-profit organizations including chambers of commerce and lodging tax boards. Applications can be found on the WOT industry site and must be received by WOT on or before May 1.
