New Conference Format Brings More Speakers, Expertise and Insight
From the Desk of Diane Shober, Wyoming Office of Tourism Director:
I’m really excited to tell you about some changes that are in the works for this year’s Wyoming Governor’s Hospitality and Tourism Conference, February 10-12, 2013 at Little America in Cheyenne. We’re changing up the schedule to bring you more speakers, expertise and insight in the same time frame.
In addition to some very compelling and appropriate general sessions, this year we are introducing Fast Tracks to our schedule of marketing-focused sessions. If you’ve attended past conferences, there were three time slots for break-out sessions where two 90-minute sessions ran concurrently. One session offered content on operations and one on marketing. Because of our conference scheduling, attendees were only able to attend half of all sessions offered. Something many of you disliked. Many of you voiced your desire to have sessions repeat.
Well, we heard you and this year we are mixing it up! Break-out sessions will be offered following each general session….one on Monday morning, one Monday afternoon and one Tuesday morning. Add to those Fast Tracks, which instead of a single topic 90-minute presentation, Fast Tracks will offer two-three topics in a 45-minute format, and will immediately repeat again. You’ll get twice the education in the same amount of time!
Fast Tracks will offer up a total of nine topics, each presented twice. The schedule provides attendees the opportunity to attend 6 of them. Relevant topics presented by dynamic speakers….the winning combination for destination marketing success!
The entire conference line-up is top-notch. Excellent speakers, great entertainment and plenty of time for gathering and learning from each other. If you haven’t registered, do so NOW!! We have an amazing lineup of industry experts and I’m excited to see what this new format can do for your destination or business.
