WOT Offers SEM Coop for Spring
The Wyoming Office of Tourism is offering a Search Engine Marketing (SEM) Co-op to run from March to June of 2012.
The SEM Co-op allows for more than one partner to be interested in the same high-level keyword or keywords without driving up the cost per click. Based on partner goals, the same keyword can be placed within multiple partner campaigns and monitored so the keyword delivers a fair and appropriate number of clicks to each partner’s site without directly competing with one another for ad space.
“We built this co-op to get destinations in Wyoming interested in search engine marketing and help provide a way to allow multiple destinations affordable access to the same keywords,” said Alan Dubberley, Deputy Director for WOT. “SEM is such a foundational element of the WOT campaigns, we felt this co-op would benefit everyone.”
During this co-op, WOT will match up to $1,250 per partner, per month with a minimum buy in of $250 per month. The total investment by the WOT in this co-op is $50,000 during the course of four months.
“Currently we have dedicated $41,000 of the $50,000 budget,” Dubberley said. “We have room for a few more partners to jump in and take advantage of this co-op before we max it out.”
Partners participating in this program will be required to feature the Forever West logo on their website. The logo will link back to wyomingtourism.org.
