Student Chefs, Restaurant Managers in WY Competition
Thanks to everyone for supporting the WLRA Education Foundation Auction and Gala at the Governors Conference. The Live and Silent Auction along with sponsored tables brought in $48,000 for Education Foundation programs. Your support makes it possible for us to better
service the 38 high schools in our restaurant management program, ProStart.
Two teams from Glenrock High School swept the 2012 Wyoming ProStart Student Invitational in Casper sponsored by the Wyoming Lodging and Restaurant Association.
The Yellowstone Culinary Cup went to Glenrock, which also won the First Interstate Management Competition.
The second place winner in the Culinary Cup competition was Cheyenne East and 3rd place was taken by Encampment H.S..
Second place in the Management competition went to Encampment High School while Cheyenne Central won third place.
The Glenrock teams will represent Wyoming at the National ProStart Competition in Baltimore, Maryland at the end of April.

Safeway Baking Competition 1st place winner: Cheyenne Central. Cheyenne South took 2nd place and 3rd place went to Guernsey - Sunrise
Teacher of the Year-Valerie Mills, Guernsey - Sunrise
Central Wyoming College Scholarship Recipient - Zach Burkhart-Triumph H.S., Cheyenne
Spirit of Hospitality Award - Cheyenne East
Sheridan College, Most Wanted Employee Scholarship - Lucas Jarrett Encampment H.S.
